Why I made this
Hi, I'm Daniel. I'm a Tampa Bay Lightning fan, and I built a little DIY sports sign called SPORTS_LIGHT. It's an ESP32 with a 7-inch touchscreen that shows the clock, the next game with a countdown, and live scores. It also flips a relay to light up an LED "GAME ON" sign whenever my team is playing.
Game On Sign takes the same idea to any screen. Open it on a TV, an old tablet or a monitor and you get one team full screen, or a grid of up to 12 teams like a sports-bar wall, with live scores for the NHL, NFL, NBA and MLB. New here? The step-by-step Help page walks you through it.
It also has a free, open API for makers. Your own ESP32 (or any microcontroller) can ask "is my team playing right now?" and get a tiny JSON answer, which is perfect for driving a light, a relay or a small display.
